I’m Ricardo Calcina. This is my personal site: somewhere to keep my projects and the things I learn along the way documented in one place.
I’ve wanted to get it live for a while. I like having a little corner of the internet I can keep coming back to, even when what I’m interested in changes.
What you’ll find here
I’m working on Websites by Ricardo, Ricardo Moves, and Ricardo Makes Videos. There are older projects here too. Some pages will grow into longer write-ups; others might just stay as a record of something I tried.
I’ve also renamed the personal YouTube channel I’ve had since 2013 to Ricardo Calcina. I want to feel free to upload whatever I want there. Some videos will be about these projects, and something I talk about in a video might turn into a project of its own.
I also read a lot, make art, journal, and like watching and discussing series. Those interests can live under my own name for now. If one grows into something of its own, I can give it a separate space later.
This site gives those things somewhere to live together. A video, a few notes, an update when something changes. It doesn’t all have to be a finished case study.
Keeping it alive
For now, I’m starting with enough to make each project readable and adding to it as I go. This is a personal pet project, and I enjoy keeping it alive.
